Now cut out a piece of ribbing and make sure that the ribbing lines are as shown in the picture. The aim is to cut it in a way such that the stretch goes around the wrist. As per the diagram example, the wrist circumference is 6”.
Now fold the ribbing lengthwise with right sides together in the same direction as the ribbing lines. This will give you a tube of 6” long and 3.5” across. Sew a seam. When finished, fold your cuff in half right side out.
Now is the time when you can try your cuff. If the fitting is fine, continue with it otherwise make necessary adjustments. Take down the measurements. This unique cuff size can be used in all the future projects.
